Let me introduce myself, I am Travis Hallsted President and co-founder of Raks™. Raks™ is located right in the heart of the best whitetail deer country.

I have lived in Nebraska all of my life.  I have been involved extensively in the livestock and the wildlife industry my whole life.  As a youth I spent my free time finding new hunting adventures.

I earned my college degrees in Feedlot Management Technology and in Business Management at the University of Nebraska at Curtis.  I have worked within the feedyard industry for over 20 years and been involved in all aspects of the feedyard business. For the last several years, my duties have focused on animal health and nutrition.  My wife and I run a commercial cow herd and we are partners in a 4,500 head family owned cattle feedyard.

My real passion is hunting.  I hunt for all species of in season game but I will be the first to admit that there is nothing that compares to the challenge of tagging a record whitetail. 

With Raks™, our goal and concept consists of producing quality, natural products for wild game animals. Raks™ Mineral is our first product.  Raks™ was formulated in 2002 by my co- founding partner Drew Wolfe. 

Drew's background comes to us as a cow/calf rancher and owner/operator of his own cattle feedyard.  He was frustrated of the quality of the deer he had on his property so he researched and formulated his own deer mineral program.  Having a background of animal nutrition and using his experience in animal husbandry, he knew he could improve the quality of the deer on his property the same as he had with his cattle.  So brings us the birth of Raks™ Mineral.

Partners Drew Wolfe, Jamie Knisley and myself are eager to launch our products in the retail market.

Raks™ Mineral has given us an edge over many others by producing more consistent better bucks every year.  We have increased the growth on our second and our third rack deer to rank well in the Boone and Crocket categories. This is why we have decided to offer this powerful product to others just like you!  Using Raks™ Mineral we have created some wonderful memories.  We have harvested multiple trophy size bucks and given ourselves an edge that has allowed our children and others to score big on their very first hunts.  My hope with the use of Raks™ Mineral is that others will share the same great success that we have.
